Phone scammers are targeting the elderly; calling with an offer of a new Medicare Red, White & Blue Card. In order to get the card, they request that you verify your bank information. Phone scammers sound professional and may even have some of your information. Never give out any of your account information to anyone who calls or emails you. Please remember, unless you initiate the call do not give out any personal information.

    Texting Alert Notice

NOTICE: There is a texting scam hitting the local community stating that your card has been compromised and suspended. The text ID shows Farmers & Merchants and has a link taking you to a bank log on page. This is a scam. It is not coming from us or Farmers & Merchants bank. Please do not try to sign in. Currently, we do not contact you by text. If you do receive a text that looks suspicious, please call us at

    Phone Fraud Alert

NOTICE: Be wary of calls from individuals claiming to be representatives with Farmers Bank, or any financial institution you do business with. It has become common for scammers to call people looking for information to steal their identity. Generally, these calls come from an unknown number and may even be reaching an unlisted cell phone number. But, it has become increasingly easy to “spoof” a phone number and the call may come up as Farmers Bank on your caller ID.

Remember, Farmers Bank will never contact you (by phone, email, or text message) and ask for your account number, social security number, address, phone number or any other piece of personal information. If someone calls you claiming to be from Farmers Bank and asks for any of this information, please hang up and call us at 731-847-3621.

    Contact info@farmers-bank.com for more information.
